Transportable by trailer, and able to enter factories with low entrances
The forklift has a cut-off mast (height: 2,800mm) that enables it to be transported on a trailer and to enter factories with low-clearance entrances.
The cut-off process is performed by the manufacturer prior to the delivery of the vehicle when new, so there are also no issues in terms of compliance.

The forklift is fitted with green puncture-proof tires to avoid dirtying customer’s floors during operation. Green tires of this size are very rare and are ordered specially for this purpose.

Ordinarily, the long overall length of the trailer would make it difficult to enter narrow places. However, having steerable rear wheels makes it possible for this trailer to enter even places where ordinary trailers cannot.

Hydraulic suspension enables vertical movement of the platform section
Due to the trailer’s low-floored platform, on bumpy or uneven road surfaces (such as at railroad crossings and sloped entrances), the platform is raised to prevent wear to its underside. By contrast, where carrying tall cargo, the platform is lowered when entering buildings in order to prevent contact or collision with entrance shutters, etc.

Unlike low platform trailers, the loading platform of this trailer is flat, enabling transportation of long objects and stable loading of heavy machinery such as large forklifts. About on-road permit applications for special vehicles
For large trailers to be driven on public roads, it is always necessary to apply for and obtain an on-road permit from the road manager. (The trailers cannot be operated without a permit.) Factors such as weight, axle load, width, height and length all play a part in the permit application process, and depending on the vehicle there are cases in which permits may be denied, even for the same cargo. Sun Engineering is constantly working to promote and ensure thorough compliance and all of the vehicles introduced here have been designed with the premise of obtaining on-road permission in mind.
